Publication Rules

The writings published in the journal are classified as follows:

Editorial Note: This section includes documents written by the editor, a member of the Editorial Committee, or a guest researcher, addressing the content featured in the journal. It also highlights events or activities of national or international significance or relevance at the time of the journal's publication.

Research Article: These are characterized by their maximum originality and innovation. These articles present the results of original, unpublished research, whether theoretical or experimental, qualitative or quantitative. They must clearly highlight the original aspects of the research, and the required structure is specified in the Guidelines for Authors.

Review Article: These writings describe and/or compile the latest advances or published works on a specific topic. They always provide some improvement, complement, or original perspective, which must be expressly highlighted. They offer a theoretical synthesis and an updated view of the topic addressed, emphasizing what it can mean as a novel contribution. The structure used is specified in the Guidelines for Authors.


General Article Configuration

Any accepted type of document must comply with the following formal aspects established by the journal:

  • Maximum number of authors: 5
  • Text in Microsoft Word, with .docx extension
  • Paper size: A4
  • Text in a single column
  • Justified alignment
  • Font for text: Arial, 11 points
  • Line spacing: 2; no spacing between paragraphs
  • Margins:
    • Top: 2.5 cm
    • Bottom: 2.5 cm
    • Right: 2.5 cm
    • Left: 3.0 cm
  • The authors of the article must include: institutional affiliation, city, province, country, and additionally have an active and updated ORCID code.
  • The title, abstract, and keywords must appear in both Spanish and English.
  • References should be formatted according to APA 7 guidelines.

For RESEARCH ARTICLES, the following guidelines must be adhered to:

  • The topic addressed must be current, presenting scientifically supported novel results.
  • The article must be original and should not include restricted, classified elements, those subject to patent, or those in the process of publication or already published in other journals in any language.
  • The writing should be clear, coherent, and follow a logical flow.
  • The length of the article should be between 8 and 15 pages, from the title to the references.

For REVIEW ARTICLES, the following guidelines must be followed:

  • The topic addressed must be current and provide a critical review of a specific subject, in line with the journal's requirements.
  • The article must be unique and should not contain restricted, classified elements, those subject to patent, or those in the process of publication or already published in other journals in any language.
  • The length of the article should range from 15 to 30 pages, from the title to the references.

About APA Guidelines
